If we installed your system, you already have been offered a Maintenance Contract as you approach the end of the first year, so that the equipment will be cleaned and checked before the onset of each Season.
Older equipment will run more efficiently if it is maintained. A dirty system will labor and run harder, which can result in costly breakdowns, and usually contributes to higher utility bills. The standard schedule for maintenance is a Spring Tune-up for the cooling season and a Fall Tune-up for the heating season. Heat Pumps are usually checked twice a year because they are used in both seasons. All in all, Tune-ups are a very inexpensive and cost effective investment for your heating and cooling equipment.
